Some of you people may have heard these things already in any of my sessions/workshops..
Why am I always so keen on individuality when it comes to creating/writing tracks and songs?
Very simple in fact… with hundreds of thousands of tracks being released every week nowadays, it is simply not enough to deliver „the expected“, these tracks that are good but somehow sound similar like thousands others… our aim (not just here, rather in general) is to push it the so called extra mile to extract AWESOME ideas and tracks, good is not good enough… fact!
It’s even not about the maximum quality of production skills (yet…)… it’s all about having the best ideas, the most unique style/skills/querkyness (YES, i love that!!!)
The more you are able to find your personal style, the more you think into fine details, the individuality of sound design, editing skills etc etc… the more you will find the true artistical YOU, because everyone does these things differently! that should be generally YOUR aim in this learning process…
We are happy and willing to help you in any kind of direction and any point of your personal development… but it all starts with yourself, having the best possible „big picture“ of where you want to grow, no boundaries… trying to imagine where things could lead to…and then making a proper plan and execute step by step! We are obvsl on your side here and can lead you in many different facets of the process writing & producing and everything around, but also developing your artist approach and career.
Beside all, never forget how important the right mindset is in this whole process… learn to recognize your creative moments, try not to put yourself under too much pressure… listen most importantly to your instinct, your „guts“ and trust in your v own artistically approach…I know this general artistical approach is somehow against the „algorithm“, the „market needs“, the social media picture blabla… But I/we are here to exactly push the artist and artistry. In my frank opinion this is „watering out“ too much nowadays, and I see us here all as artists and not „service providers“ for tracks.
Another thing… i strongly recommend NOT to pre-select the direction of your music before u start writing it…. like „i wanna do a track for „Drumcode“ ….“ WRITE MUSIC, as free of „frames“ as you can do… and decide afterwards, what it is and where you could deal/market this… so your creativity is not limited in the writing process and the outcome is a lot more „open“
